Sharon Kotzur is an educator of over 30 years and served as a Principal for 22 of those years. She has led through growth, crisis, staffing shortages, governance pressure, behavioural complexity and community expectation — and understands first-hand the invisible weight school leaders carry.
Several years ago, Sharon came dangerously close to burnout. Instead of pushing through, she chose to pause. She rested, recalibrated, trained as a coach, and allowed that season to deepen her leadership and faith.
In 2024, she responded to a call to support a school navigating significant leadership change. What was meant to be a four-week assignment became sixteen months. She stepped fully back into the intensity of principalship and experienced, again, the sustained pressure leaders are navigating today.
When she finished in January 2026, she was more convinced than ever:
School leaders need structured support.
They need facilitated care.
They need space to lead sustainably.
Sharon founded EasyEd, and in particular "Permission To Pause" to provide what she once needed — and what leaders now urgently require.
Her work combines lived principal experience, formal coaching training, and a courageous commitment to strengthening leaders from the inside out.
Because leaders deserve to live, learn and lead — well.
